Review on 💧 BPA-Free Nalgene On The Fly Water Bottle by Tommy Hilmy

I need to contact Nalgene to replace the OTF cap. The small soft stopper in the leak protection lid has developed mold stains despite regular hand washing and rinsing in the dishwasher with two separate lid parts. In addition to regular washing, I tried removing mold by boiling the soft stopper in water, soaking in vinegar, brushing with a toothbrush and couldn't get the mold stains out/clean the cap stopper - so it ended up just being thrown away. This renders the OTF bottle useless as it will leak terribly (more like a water drain than a leak) if the little stopper is not inserted into the cap. This is my second OTF cap and it didn't happen with the first one on the wide mouth bottle (I lost the bottle otherwise I would still be using it). I really like the Nalgene bottles and they came in different sizes; Every member of my family has a bottle of Nalgene. We are happy with other bottles and mold growth is not a problem for them. I refuse to accept that I should use filtered water in my bottle to avoid mold - there should be no problem cleaning with traditional methods. Too much money was spent on a new fountain in my house to justify buying filtered water to use a Nalgene water bottle!
