I think I'm at an age where comfortable beds can or may not interfere with a good night's sleep. I used to buy "cheap" sheets that were "500 thread count" but after washing they felt like paper and were just as thin. I have a 3 year old (then) premium LG washer and dryer that does an excellent job of cleaning without tearing the fabric to shreds. However, most of my previous sheets barely lasted a year before they ripped and after one wash I'm surprised they've lasted so long. So after realizing I'm spending more every year buying bedding, I should probably get a better set. After doing some research, I was shocked to see how dangerous synthetic chemicals are used in the manufacture of most leaves. Also, I learned a little bit about what makes sheets soft, and here's a hint: It's not just about the count of threads. So I knew I needed CERTIFIED organic sheets (make sure they're certified!) and then I bet on this set of sheets. I wasn't expecting much so I was really excited about these sheets. First, they were incredibly soft when I opened the package. I thought they would get a little "papery" after washing. NO! These are the softest sheets I've ever had. Also, these sheets are a quality thickness, not the paper thickness of the big box stores. Can't say much about durability yet, but judging by the look and feel I'd be surprised if they didn't last at least 2-3 years with weekly washes. Great product from a very responsive company.
