Some buyers complained about the motion sensor, but it needs to be setup properly. I had set it to high (26'), but then I had to adjust the motion sensor position as it was not picking me up until I got within 12 feet. Once I adjusted the sensor it worked as described. SO, it is not just about setting the sensor strength, you need to properly adjust the sensor itself as well.As far as brightness, it was very bright. You can turn the light to the always on ON position (position II) or motion sensor (position I). The manual says to charge the device for three days, but it worked as described after only charging for 3 hours.Installation was easy, and I like that I can put the solar panel in the best position by utilizing the 15' cable length that goes from the light to the solar panel. After having this for a week I am not disappointed. I will be buying three more for around the house in dark areas and by the chicken coop.
