The reviews are correct, I have compared this to Braun's best line and the reviews are consistent with my experience. If you only have a day of stubble, Arc5 shaves faster and more closely than Braun. However, Arc5 fights growth longer than stubble and is harsher on your skin than brown, but any pre-shave lotion will fix this. Another thing I noticed is that I was much more prone to ingrown hairs with Arc5. Although I liked the smoother shave, I ended up going for the brown because it manages longer stubble better and avoids ingrown hairs.
