Upgrade from a quality shaver that doesn't ruin anything good

I bought the ES-LV67 as an upgrade for another Panasonic Arc5, ES-LV61, which had a dead battery. I snapped a few photos of the old and new side by side and you can see that apart from the nice matte finish, the LV-67 is slightly longer and thinner overall. But while it's technically larger from head to toe, the new model actually feels less bulky and more comfortable to handle. The shave is pretty good, but I'd say it's not much better than the LV-61. with a new set of knives. However, I…

This razor is out of this world

I spend a lot of time researching electric razors and I keep coming back to this particular razor. Frequently reviewed on the internet, it still remains one of the top rated electric shavers and is often cited as 'best value for money' in addition to the accolades it receives for the product itself. This is the best shaver I have ever had in my life and the shave itself is so close it's hard to believe it's an electric razor. The product looks and feels solid, has a good charging/cleaning…

Seems uselessly good for foil razors

I've tried this stuff about 4-5 times to see if there's a trick to getting it to cut effectively but it just doesn't work well with my coarse hair and it does It doesn't seem to matter how short my hair is. It requires a lot of pressure and repeating the same passages over and over again. The only places it seems to work well are on my cheeks where my beard is the lightest and even that takes a few passes. I guess I'll just stay away from those foil razors from now on. The only things that work

It's time to debunk those one star reviews.

When I decided to buy a wet and dry electric razor (I've used Gillette blades in the past), I did a lot of research. The list included Wahl, Braun, Panasonic and others. I also used Consumer Reports. Given that I view all the reviews with healthy skepticism, I finally narrowed my choices down to Braun and this Panasonic. Brown and Panasonic. (Incidentally, both were highly rated by consumers.) As usual, the complaints were troubling, highly critical, and lacking in detail and/or photos…

Panasonic beats Braun in comfort and convenience

I started shaving with Norelco and then switched to the Braun 7 Series. The brown was starting to fail and I needed a new razor. Internet research showed me a razor I had never heard of. Panasonic Arc5. And they were right. This defeats Brown. I shave every day and this gives the blade an even or better close shave with no irritation or missed spots. Brown always fought with my neck. missing hair. The cleaning system is also better. I like how it really dries the razor. All in all, for everyday

Super close shave but not for everyone

The reviews are correct, I have compared this to Braun's best line and the reviews are consistent with my experience. If you only have a day of stubble, Arc5 shaves faster and more closely than Braun. However, Arc5 fights growth longer than stubble and is harsher on your skin than brown, but any pre-shave lotion will fix this. Another thing I noticed is that I was much more prone to ingrown hairs with Arc5. Although I liked the smoother shave, I ended up going for the brown because it manages…
