Upgrade from a quality shaver that doesn't ruin anything good

I bought the ES-LV67 as an upgrade for another Panasonic Arc5, ES-LV61, which had a dead battery. I snapped a few photos of the old and new side by side and you can see that apart from the nice matte finish, the LV-67 is slightly longer and thinner overall. But while it's technically larger from head to toe, the new model actually feels less bulky and more comfortable to handle. The shave is pretty good, but I'd say it's not much better than the LV-61. with a new set of knives. However, I really wasn't expecting anything overwhelming here considering they both contain the same blades with the same cutting ability. The main difference in shaving seems to be the LV-67 thickness gauge, which was introduced alongside the LV-65 a few years ago, although to be honest I don't think I benefit much from it due to my facial hair. . Otherwise, I like most of the cosmetic changes to this new model, particularly the blade guard, which snaps firmly into place (the old one mostly fell off due to gravity) and which includes a few slats per side to improve ventilation when wet. A minor complaint is the lack of a physical lock switch, as the LV-67 requires you to hold down the power button while it's still on if you want to prevent it from accidentally turning on. Not the most convenient feature if you ever forget to latch it and get used to flicking a small switch quickly and discreetly. Minor annoyances aside, I think this is a good replacement for my old Arc5. It doesn't bring revolutionary changes, but overall the experience feels like an upgrade.
