I couldn't figure out how to install it, asked a question here and half the people who answered said it was like that and the other half said it was different. I tried both and this is the result. Until the manufacturer intervenes, I will. The packaging instructions are poor, showing a different hook and failing to indicate that the end of the hook tape that is to be inserted up should face the installer. There is no YouTube video and I couldn't connect to the website on the package. I used two large pieces to hang a metal house number sign and it worked great, but upon installation I couldn't feel or hear if the hook was actually caught on anything. I recommend prying the fairing up slightly with a large flathead screwdriver, using the hook to push the stainless steel straps towards you, tugging to see if they have caught on the fairing and making sure the underside of the fairing is level, before hanging your object. I bent them in a vise to compensate for the slope of the siding.
