Review on 🔑 SCITOO Uncut Key Fob Remote for Toyota RAV4 Prius C Prius V 2013-2017 - 2pcs, 3 Buttons, HYQ12BDM Compatible by Russell Wong

So I ordered this item because one night I bent the keys on one of my roommates' 2015 Toyota Rav4 LE. It was a cheap option compared to others so I ended up ordering it. The zip pouch it shipped in says 'Made in China' but that's to be expected. Comparing two cars side by side, the only difference is that the new metal key is gold colored while the original Toyota key was silver colored. The buttons are almost identical, only the size of the lock on the printed lock buttons is smaller on the new one. The plastic material this one is made of is a bit rougher than the original, which is to be expected. And on the back a new blank with a small shiny spot where the sticker should normally be and Toyota has the Toyota logo. The computer inside was exactly the same size and shape as the original. It came with a battery. The buttons had rubber end caps versus the original's plastic end caps. The new one also had a red light that lit up when you pushed the button, while the original didn't. So I understood that I could only replace part of the metal key and remove the back panel from the original. with the Toyota badge and instead of a glowing one I put in an old computer chip programmed for the Rav4 and spliced it together so I have a slightly textured key that looks identical on the back, not gold colored, and only slightly different. One thing I could probably change as well are the buttons on top because they use the same click style and both fit loosely so they can be clicked onto the buttons on the chip, but these look cleaner because they have different levels of wear. I have yet to take it and cut it with another original key and will probably update this one I made to see how it holds up after cutting. However, so far I would recommend it based on the price and how similar it is and the possibility of making it almost original if you have the key you are replacing.
