This is an absolutely wonderful lamp with MANY features. We love her! Bought two, one for each side of the bed. My *only* wish there were more detailed instructions in the kit. , and installing a lampshade (okay, all my lamps were American Millennium models with harps. So this one is on me. But an illustrative diagram or related video from You Tube would be helpful). Once we've dealt with the lampshade (tip: unscrew the plastic ring around the lamp socket, slide the metal lampshade ring onto the base (it seems upside down if you're used to lamps with traditional American harps). , unscrew the plastic ring to fix the lampshade, install the appropriate lamp in the socket) and successfully installed we were very satisfied with the look, the quality and the amazing functionality of these lamps. The bar is strong and easy to move. Ditto for the reading light part so you can just place it exactly where you need the light for the task at hand and what a comfortable, soothing light it is. Plug in your phone charger without reaching for your bedside table. And my favourite: dimmers! It works flawlessly and offers continuity in lighting options. Set it very low for a nighttime lighting ambiance, or all the way down to provide enough light to get dressed on dark mornings and everywhere in between. It's really awesome! Beautiful, very useful product.
