So we started installing the lightbar on my Duramax 2016 (black). Thought it would be easier to install. This isn't my first setup. We had to modify the "L" bracket to have some slack as the pattern didn't line up the way we wanted. We drilled the space between two holes on our drill press. Then the plastic insert of the bumper had to be heated with a hot air gun so that the nut and key could be inserted behind it. Finally, after gluing the nut onto the wrench because we had already lost one of the nuts, we installed a bracket. 1 hour later. I highly recommend masking off the areas you will be working on, this saves a lot of scratches from long needle nose pliers (curved) and open end wrenches. I had to take photos of all the instruments we had. finally installed the other side of the world after a few reinstalls to make sure it was centered. We also tightened all the screws on the "blue" lock. I almost used an L bracket as a template to make my own. The finished product looks good, it doesn't sit in the center of the hole like I would like. I wish it could be adjusted about 1/4 inch. Everything says the light is installed (no wiring yet), usually the install process is the easy part, it looks great. Installation without removing the bumper. At the end of the day the light looks great and looks like it should be there. I can't wait for it to light up.
