LOOK at all the negative reviews. I tend to dismiss most of them but this product is defective and Brother will not support their warranty. See photos as it is printed. I'm on the original toner cartridge. A few months after receiving the printer, with little use, I was getting more and more black clouds and spots indicating it was unusable. According to the product support website, I wiped the drum very gently with an alcohol wipe. It helped a little but was still unusable. A few weeks later I tried cleaning the drum again. Same result. Product support instructions state that if cleaning the drum doesn't help, replace the toner cartridge, and if that doesn't work, replace the drum. Even though the printer has a one-year warranty, Brother says it's my problem. is a toner cartridge and this part comes with a 90 day warranty. I reported the issue after 90 days. Here's the rub: A replacement toner cartridge ranges from $68 to $122 depending on capacity (I'm not sure what capacity I have with my printer). If that doesn't help, the drum costs $123. I then for the price of a new printer. I will not play with this printer. I will throw it away and start with another brand and will always remember Brother for their warranty void.
