Review on Cordless DEWALT DCD701F2 Xtreme Brushless Drill by Micha Poklkowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfactory product quality, good price.

In general, the entire review is based on a comparison with the Hilti SF 2-A (weight with battery 1142 vs DV 1082 gr.), which I owned for 5 years and which served me faithfully and never failed and, one might say, suited absolutely during everything except torque - 24 Nm, which was still not enough for my needs. As a result, I sold Hilti for 10 (I had it in perfect condition) and took this one for 12 I must say right away that I am not a fan of any particular brands, I own a Hilti perf, an AEG angle grinder, I gave a Makita screwdriver to my brother. I buy and use what I like and like. There is no perfect brand. There are both successful and not very models for everyone. Well, everything is known in comparison, as they say. Let's start: 1. This is an indication of the battery charge. There were 4 divisions on the Hilti, and when the battery was just a little bit left, the last indicator blinked when the key was pressed, which signaled that the battery was being charged. On the DV 3 divisions, which can be said 1 division corresponds to 33.33% of the charge, and at the last division it is not known how much charge the battery has 1/3 part or everything already, and do not tighten 1 self-tapping screw, but the indication will be at the last division and everything is the same will burn. Bold minus in the piggy bank of this DV model. On the older ruler, it is possible for a different and more informative indication. 2. Battery 2 Ah, Hilti (SF 2-A) had 2.6 Ah and IMHO those 2.6 Ah with a brushed motor was enough for much more than 2 Ah on a brushless one (it would seem that the efficiency is more efficient on a brushless one, etc. "pluses" of new innovations) . 3. Hilti's backlight was an order of magnitude better (2 LEDs) versus 1 for DV, the color itself gives off a cheap Chinese LED, Hilti had a pure white backlight. By the way, on the one hand there is a clip, on the other hand I screwed three magnets from roller blinds, it turned out like a native solution. Summarizing: this device is not bad, copes with its tasks and so far only pleases. I see no reason to change. And what to change it to? The main thing for me is light weight, compactness and powerful enough.

Pros
  • Compact Ergonomics Backlight for 4 (quadruple) Light weight and compact size Powerful enough for home/semi-professional level for this size
Cons
  • Battery indication is not informative 2 Ah batteries sit down very quickly (IMHO) in comparison with another screwdriver. I was lucky with the device, there is no backlash or beating of the cartridge.
