. I installed a Garmin Drive Smart 61 (7" model) on a 2018 RAV4 dashboard. I tried a Garmin OEM suction cup mount and found that due to the tilt it's mounted on, I can't get the required tilt without being blinded by a few inches of canopy. This mount allowed me to move it around (thing moves in and out like a crane) and use a thumbscrew up and down to lock it in place. comes from the mounting disc and it is so appreciated. Once it's there, I don't know that it will fall off any time soon. This thing is really there. So put it in the right position. Of course, there are so many adjustments that it doesn't matter if it's a little wrong. Will likely work with most people's situation by offering flexibility.
