The instructions, themselves poorly worded, are the worst furniture instructions I have ever used. Not fully and properly painted when it arrived and the hardware barely worked with the wrench provided. The screw heads appear to be bad from the factory. In the end everything worked out. Remember that the bottom post is not flush, it just rests on top of the bar. In addition, the straps must be carefully tucked in at the top, otherwise the uncomfortable seams will look upwards. The manufacturer should be ashamed of their instructions, build quality, hardware quality and the price they charge for this item. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. a luggage rack if you don't want the frustration and excessive assembly time.
