Not life changing - styling tools and accessories

Reading the reviews I expected this product to blow my socks off. I'm not thrilled. I've been natural for over 20 years, I can't tell you exactly what my exact hair type is but it's somewhere between 3C and 4C except it's not that thick and really soft and I'm having a hard time keeping the shape curl. I have a pretty good hair care routine. I haven't used a proper brush in over ten years as I find nothing better than my fingers at detangling. But I realized what the hell they are. I can't say I regret my purchase but if I could repeat it I wouldn't. Here are some pros and cons from my point of view. Pros: - Using the brush with the conditioner/product on the hair gives a good definition, definitely better than finger detangling. - Easy to clean. When you use your hands, your hair gets caught in your fingers, and when you use a brush, you avoid that irritation. Cons: - Slippery autofocus. I feel like anyone who has ever produced this should do more materials research and development. Basically, if your hand is covered in conditioner and you're using this brush, I can't hold it without it slipping out of your hand. Instead, I have to hold the brush close to the bristles, which basically means the bristles can't move freely, defeating the very purpose of the brush. I feel like making some silicone grips only with grips or just making the entire brush except for the bristles out of a different, less slippery material would make a huge difference. - For me it doesn't speed up the untangling. As I said, I've been playing Natural for a while, so I get my fingers untangled very quickly. This slowed things down considerably, especially given the grip's slipperiness. Hope that helps. If you are new to the world of nature, this product can help you by making you feel like people are at least doing things to us. But honestly, I wouldn't unravel my fingers for this brush.
