Luckily I didn't spend money on making keys because I read a lot of mixed reviews. But my experience was that I was able to follow the instructions on youtube and got the keys paired to the car and they worked for locking, unlocking, opening the trunk etc. but the first key worked a total of 2 days before. screwed up the bed. A total of 6 times we locked or opened the doors remotely and that was it. The second key survived until the 3rd day, but with difficulty. They acted like the battery was dead and no I haven't tried replacing it yet. I figured for the price they might use the cheapest batteries known to man, so I might end up trying to replace them if I get the chance. But we'll see... So you can make your own decision, but in my experience it sucks, it's tough. Please follow the one piece of advice that saved my bacon: DON'T CUT THEM UNTIL YOU PROGRAM AND TRY THEM FOR SOME TIME TO MAKE SURE THEY WORK!
