I bought a 1TB Crucial NVMe M.2 SSD (https://amzn.to/2MFKRCl) and paired it with this Sabrent chassis. The case is very well made and has a certain weight since it is an all-aluminum construction. Installing the drive couldn't be simpler and neater. The rubber feet on the bottom have excellent slip resistance, and the included USB-A to USB-C cable with USB-A/C adapter is good. HOWEVER, I wish it came with two separate cables instead of an adapter, and here's why: After installing a Crucial 1TB SSD, I connected it to mine via USB-C to USB-C using the included adapter iMac connected. I reformatted the drive and it worked. I went straight to the Blackmagic Speed Test app and was (briefly) completely stumped and disappointed. The combination of drive and case limited the speed to 41 MB/s, which made absolutely no sense to me. "It must be a lightning fast system!" I thought. So I unmounted the drive, unplugged the adapter, and reconnected it to a direct USB-A to USB-C passthrough (bypassing the adapter). Those speeds were MUCH better, averaging around 460 MB/s. Still confused about the 41MB/s speed limit with the adapter, I unmounted the drive, reinserted the adapter, and connected the drive back to USB-C via USB-C using the adapter that came with it. This time it was a MUCH different story. I now have an average read/write speed of 932MB/s over USB-C, while a few minutes ago it was capped at 41MB/s. All this means is that if you're using the included USB-C adapter, you'll need to make sure it's fully seated and plugged in at all points. Again, I wish it were two separate dedicated cables and not an adapter, but oh well. GENERAL: The case is very well built, compact and FAST (as long as you make sure all connections are secure with the included adapter). I'm also including a photo of the Sabrent case on my G-Drive for sizing context and a screenshot of a speed test with the USB-C adapter properly connected. I definitely recommend this case, but with dedicated USB-C. to the USB-C cable. TLDR; The included USB-C adapter temporarily limited read/write speeds to 41MB/s. After disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter, the speed jumped to an average of 932 MB/s. Make sure the USB-C adapter is firmly connected at all points. All in all a great case and definitely recommendable.
