Review on Portable Monitor KOGODA Travel Speakers 15.6", 1920X1080P, 60Hz, High Dynamic Range, Z1-5S, HDMI by Kanwar Bonsness

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No touch screen, 1920 x 1080. Great soft cover travel stand. Useless screen protector.

This product is great for what it is. Note that this isn't a touchscreen, it's a 1920 x 1080 resolution display with a mini-HDMI port on the left and a menu button on the right. USB-C power is on the right and USB-C data is on the left. The product is very well packed. At the time of writing this, the price is competitive with these specs considering you get this foldable stand cover that others in this price range don't give you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't buy foldable stand cases separately for any of these portable displays as the overall dimensions are not standardized, so it's best to buy the one that comes with the display. I take this into account when researching a product. Otherwise regular coasters that are not cases can be bought anywhere if you don't mind. There is a card in the box that offers you some tote bags if you leave a review, but I don't accept that offer. .The main thing I don't like is the useless screen protector. There are two tabs, labeled 1 and 2, but there's no clear indication of which side is sticking to the screen. That's not in the manual either. Attempting to stick a screen protector on the screen will result in bubbles, and once you screw that up, that's it. There's no second chance. On other devices, I've opted for a tempered glass screen protector for ease of installation, fewer air bubbles and defect-causing factors like warping, and how you can micro-adjust after the first application. This is not the case here. The film can warp, lose its tack, and create lots of air bubbles on a 13-inch display that are difficult, if not impossible, to squeeze out. For what this product has to offer, it's a good buy. I am currently using it with a Raspberry Pi 4 setup as well as a Nintendo Switch. Mute or for portability when you're on the go and don't need high quality audio for what you're doing. As I reiterate from what I said at the beginning, if you need other features this display isn't, then consider it a different class of portable display. It's not 2k or 4k. This is not a touch screen. But it comes with a paperback stand made for its size. Regardless of which class of portable display you choose, I recommend one with a paperback stand, since you can't (generally speaking) buy one separately.

Pros
  • It is good to enlarge mobile phone screen. Watching the video is nice.
Cons
  • Dead Pixels: These are defective pixels that remain black or glow solid on the display.
