Since my cats break down all sisal scratching posts to cardboard in about 10 days, I waited a few weeks to post my review of this sisal mat. I am happy to say that I love it! It's used constantly by three and holds up surprisingly well, although one of my cats is so big his paws look like a puppy and his nails can only be clipped minimally. A note. The corners go up. My cats are very aggressive with this mat and tend to pull/push it to where they need it. I don't think this is "normal" wear and tear for this rug, but a bit of tape will take care of it. I wouldn't make that a buying criterion, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
