I confess that I'm a sleep addict. As soon as I bought my first pair of wireless headphones I was hooked because they are comfortable and my late night habit is to fall asleep listening to podcasts or audiobooks. However, they die like clockwork after 10-13 months. Wiring error in the main unit. I used to just accept it. I usually have two devices so I can switch them overnight and if I can't charge one for some reason I have a backup - and if I have to send one in for warranty repair/replacement I don't go a whole week without a device or so. It's just a routine I've picked up and I've been fortunate that one of them failed within the replacement warranty period. Last year I spent even more money to switch from cordless night phones to wireless night phones in hopes that maybe without repeated pounding/pulling of the circuit breaker to charge it could help it last longer, but here's my second newest , bought in June last year, wireless charging ended. As always, I sent it out a few weeks ago. I went to my mailbox this morning and my warranty replacement unit was there, but for the first time (and this is my third warranty replacement for the unit) it was accompanied by a "Care Instructions" sheet with a highlighted line indicating it was me Wearing my device in a "wet, oily, or dirty bandage". I was somewhere between tickled and offended. 1) A product is great when it works, but it always stops working after a relatively short period of time. It's all about crappy components 2) I've never had a wet, greasy or dirty headband. If I were ever lazy enough to store it in a dirty headband it still wouldn't work because the wash/dry cycle is needed to make the headband a bit tighter. Otherwise, it expands to the point of being unusable. 3) This is my SIXTH device. I can assure you that I have done everything possible (including talking to someone in the company beforehand) to try to treat it as gently as possible given my heavy use. This is my sixth unit to die in these 10-13 months. And that's without considering that I now have two of them, and each of them is only used every other night. I wonder if they use their own products. Anyhow, I'm done. Instead of paying a $150 annual subscription fee to use Sleepphones I', we take the time to find the best product from a company that doesn't passive-aggressively abuse its customers. :D that does not passive-aggressively abuse its customers. :D that does not passive-aggressively abuse its customers. :D
