Not everyone likes the smell of gein, and even then it's not for everyone. Some reviews call it "cheap" but it smells like gein to me. I love the smell and I love that it helps keep clothes fresher, especially if you smoke or are otherwise in a messy environment. It won't completely mask odors, but each helps a little. Regardless of the smell, it definitely does its job effectively, unlike some of the "greener" options. Plus, it doesn't itch or make me uncomfortable like some of its cheaper competitors. You'll have to make up your own mind about the well-known Gain scent. If you like it, you'll always be a Gain fan
