Smooth operation - wish it was a little lighter.
I wish it was smaller and lighter but other than that I'm very happy with it. The zoom and focus controls are very smooth, and I like being able to lock the zoom mechanism (although I didn't run into the problem I've read about the lens popping out simply due to gravity). I'm not qualified or experienced enough to judge the optical quality of this lens, but I take a lot of photos with it and I don't complain about what I see.
