My computer already had a 2GB memory stick and an empty slot, so I ordered it. When my geek friend came along, he installed it in minutes and now I have twice the memory in my mom's old Compaq. Now the computer doesn't slow down when I have 27 tabs open in CHROME browser. If you have an empty memory slot, you MUST get the same (or equivalent) memory that is in a different slot. Adding memory to your computer is the cheapest way to improve its performance. BUT don't order this flash drive just because I recommend it. Be sure to order a flash drive that is compatible with your computer. If both slots are full you'll need to consider removing both and installing larger chipsets, but you'll need to look at your system's specs to see if that will work. Your computer may already be busy. If you don't know, ask a smart guy.
