I got this to record presentations that I use for class. It was really helpful and was very easy to set up and use. Just plug it in, plug in your USB flash drive or hard drive and press the button to start recording. The recordings are great (in mp4 format) and I didn't notice any lag during recording. Sound is also recorded, or you can hook up a line-in to the device and it will be recorded too. Overall I'm quite happy with it
