I've only been using this Rhino ruler for a few days but I already love it. Like most electricians, I prefer to read the folding rules inside. You can put a ruler on the floor. The sections that are still bent won't lift the ruler off the ground because they're on top. This rule involves reading from the inside on both sides as well as reading from left to right on both sides. I have Lufkins old rule of reading inside, which reads from the left. on one side from right and on the other from right to left. I don't like it and hardly use it. My Lufkin, which I've used for 50 years, is left to right on both sides, like this Rhino ruler. That's my lifelong preference. The joints are stiff but I expect they will loosen over time. The 90 degree detents are particularly useful for measuring anything above my head. I simply set the desired length of the ruler to 90 degrees and raise it to the area I need to measure, which you can't do with a tape measure unless you really can't reach the area you need to measure . noticeably thicker than my wooden Lufkin and feels like plastic, but overall stiffness is almost the same as the Lufkin. I really like the feel of wood but I'm getting used to this "plastic" ruler as it works just as well as my old Lufkin. The measurement accuracy is slightly different from my other instruments. It's 1/16" longer than my Lufkin and 1/32" shorter than the steel tape measure I keep in my drawer. close enough for me
