I don't know what people expect from this bedspread. It's not a comforter. I see many complaints that "not enough warmth" and "too thin" are a problem. If you grew up in the 60's-70's (laughs) you would know exactly what that is. These are simply decorative quilted bedspreads that you place over the bed linen to add some colour/style. They are useful because they can have a duvet underneath in the winter (as I have in the photos, which is why the bedding looks so "fluffy"). On hot nights, tuck the quilt/duvet under the comforter and replace it with a thin flannel (or microfiber) duvet. When I was a kid, you didn't even sleep under them (not that you couldn't, but like I said, they were for decoration, not utility). In fact, you would "fold" the bed by pulling them into a collapsed position at the foot of the bed. This was mainly because you wanted to wash your quilts as infrequently as possible to avoid fraying the seams. Even now, these quilts should be washed in a tumble dryer, not one that uses these paddles. They pull the material and rip the seams pretty quickly. Proper care is very important FYI I ordered a uterus and it came in 90x90. My mattress is 14-15 inches! So I have just the right amount of coverage. The rust color is more like burnt orange if you ask me; but that's exactly what I wanted. Or rather, the color in the image of the entire bed. The other two look more orange because I used my flash. Can't comment on how long it will last with use (I have pets so it's hard to quilt). but at the moment, outside of the packaging, I give 5 stars. Pretty good for $36.
