Got these to replace a nasty old Compaq keyboard I was using as a backup as my fancy Apple keyboard broke. I would never buy another Apple keyboard at this price point and how short it was before it broke but I was hoping to get something with similar keys and dimensions. It seems close enough to me, especially considering the price. Since I'm using it with a Mac, I had to change the modifier keys, especially since there will only be one "Windows key" that can be assigned as a "Command key". And it looks like even cheaper keyboards now have dedicated volume up and volume down keys, and the F12 key works for opening/closing the optical drive. Despite the plastic, this keyboard doesn't feel cheap, at least not. me. I like the action of the buttons. My only complaint probably comes from something a non-Apple or Mac user probably won't know: there are no USB ports on the ends of the keyboard. Apple has been making keyboards with connectors on the end since before the advent of USB. With a tower computer and wired mouse, these ports are a must. So my only real complaint is the lack of USB ports on the keyboard itself. At this price point I wouldn't normally deduct a star, but I know Logitech makes this keyboard and got everything else right.
