I was pleasantly surprised, even impressed, that this updated Dell keyboard is so comfortable to use! As you can see from the picture, the old Dell keyboard was missing new features including volume buttons! I'm primarily a Mac user, so I'm missing the volume shortcut instead of using the mouse to click the speaker icon in the taskbar. Typing on this new keyboard is much quieter. I like the look of this keyboard. All I wanted was a minimalist, thin, wired keyboard that I could plug into my laptop. But the keys are soft and don't seem conducive to fast typing. Now I test the keys and you can press a key where it actually clicks (or coughs) and nothing happens. I use this keyboard model at work and had to get one for my home too. It's thin, quiet, and most importantly to me, it has indicator lights for number lock, scroll lock, and scroll lock [not all keyboards work, and it hurts when they don't!] . It's also Dell, which has always been a good brand for me.

For the price this is a quality keyboard. I quickly got used to the low profile keys and now I'm sad that I'll never find a real gaming keyboard with keys like that. I think a few other user reviews said this keyboard looks like a laptop keyboard. I do not agree. Travel is noticeably deeper than a typical laptop keyboard and noticeably firmer than a regular laptop keyboard.
