Highly recommended!

This is one of the best keyboards I have ever used. The layout is simple and clean. I like how the chiclet-style keys are evenly spaced and have enough resistance to pop out quickly after you hit them. I type 20% faster with this keyboard than with a conventional keyboard. Yes, it's not the quietest keyboard out there, but it's reasonably quiet and runs smooth and clear. One reviewer said it felt like it was made out of cheap plastic, but I disagree. It's lightweight yet feels well made and…

Good; good enough. 10-button pad is smaller

Just got it and tried it Good:* It's quiet, if not silent. Quiet operation is good.* The keyboard is an absolutely normal size.* Pleasant tilt angle.* Good key resistance when typing.* Definitely very good value for money. Could be better:* Largest: 10-button pad smaller than what I've used in the past. About 10% less. "Only 10%?" This is a great customization for those who work very quickly with a 10-key keyboard. I'll probably adjust, but my key speed is a lot slower. If you use 10 keys all…

Impressive! in Computers & Accessories

I was pleasantly surprised, even impressed, that this updated Dell keyboard is so comfortable to use! As you can see from the picture, the old Dell keyboard was missing new features including volume buttons! I'm primarily a Mac user, so I'm missing the volume shortcut instead of using the mouse to click the speaker icon in the taskbar. Typing on this new keyboard is much quieter. The buttons are quite firm, but deliver the pleasant clicks you're used to! I just hope this keyboard lasts a very…

Nice and thin but the keys are soft and don't always register clicks

I like the look of this keyboard. All I wanted was a minimalist, thin, wired keyboard that I could plug into my laptop. But the keys are soft and don't seem conducive to fast typing. Now I test the keys and you can press a key where it actually clicks (or coughs) and nothing happens. You have to knead it a bit further/harder than you need to feel the reaction and that must be why some letters just don't show up when I'm typing really fast. I think I should just spend more and get a better…

The best wired keyboard on the market

I use this keyboard model at work and had to get one for my home too. It's thin, quiet, and most importantly to me, it has indicator lights for number lock, scroll lock, and scroll lock [not all keyboards work, and it hurts when they don't!] . It's also Dell, which has always been a good brand for me.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Pleasant to use but could be better

For the price this is a quality keyboard. I quickly got used to the low profile keys and now I'm sad that I'll never find a real gaming keyboard with keys like that. Advantages: Dirt and scales get more difficult under the keys. comfortable to press. Low profile but doesn't feel compact or cramped. Cons: Issues with ghosting - it's fine for mid-range games, but sometimes a problem occurs when you try to press 3-4 specific key combinations. Key label: The S key is already deleted. This is a…

Something in between a laptop and a traditional branded PC keyboard

I think a few other user reviews said this keyboard looks like a laptop keyboard. I do not agree. Travel is noticeably deeper than a typical laptop keyboard and noticeably firmer than a regular laptop keyboard. It slows down my typing and makes it less comfortable to use all day because it puts more stress on my fingers. I compare the feel to the Lenovo X1 Carbon and HP EliteBook G3, which I use regularly. This keyboard is too heavy for me. The buttons themselves are also a bit small. It's not…

LOVE THIS DELL KEYBOARD. THIS IS PERFECT FOR ME.

I really like this keyboard. Feels very easy to work with. It's a full keyboard, but it's thin and slim. It fits perfectly in my keyboard drawer. I could be wrong, but I think this is the same keyboard that Dell is giving away for free with some of their new desktops. And I assume the letters on the keys won't wear out after a few months like it has with every Kensington keyboard I've owned. Why? Because I've had the same keyboard in my office for over a year now and the letters are still as…

Got more keyboard than I paid for

Got these to replace a nasty old Compaq keyboard I was using as a backup as my fancy Apple keyboard broke. I would never buy another Apple keyboard at this price point and how short it was before it broke but I was hoping to get something with similar keys and dimensions. It seems close enough to me, especially considering the price. Since I'm using it with a Mac, I had to change the modifier keys, especially since there will only be one "Windows key" that can be assigned as a "Command key"…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Functionality
