This is the first single blade razor I've used and I can't complain. If you switch from cartridges like me, I was a little surprised at how short the pen is. I'm still getting used to it after a few weeks. Otherwise I have nothing bad to say about him. I get a very close shave every time with NO RAZOR BURN! I only use aftershave balm to keep my face soft, not because it feels like it's burning. I shave a little more than before but the result is a more comfortable and even more relaxing shave compared to using the 5 blade cartridges which made my face look awful for several days. The blade it came with wasn't great but I bought a trial pack along with the razor and they all give a closer shave. It takes a while to get used to, but it has turned shaving from a chore into a relaxing experience for me.
