later For my purposes, USB 2.0 to Ethernet adapters from Cable Matters are a great way to connect any Windows device without a built-in Ethernet port (or one that doesn't work) to a wired one connector to connect network. It's plug and play in the truest sense of the word. I plug it in and after a few seconds it's working (at least on Windows 7, 8 and 10). The drivers are there (I'm guessing they're stored in the internal flash memory in the device itself, but it happens so fast you'd hardly even notice it's happening) and loads instantly. I've deployed hundreds of these with Yoga S1, 12, and 260 convertible tablets/laptops (none of which have an Ethernet port) and they've worked flawlessly, and while some of them failed, I'm talking hundreds again here. This is a quality product. So if you need to connect your tablet or laptop to a wired network without an Ethernet port and run Windows, this is the most reliable and affordable solution available to you.
