Great device; 4.5 stars if I could

The hardware on the phone is just fantastic. Great sound quality, great phone, lots of options. Works with USB headsets! However, remember that this is a corporate phone and if you really want to use its capabilities, you'll have to dig pretty deep into the "expert" configuration, where there can be hundreds of options. set/overwrite. It takes some time and fiddling to get it right. Now a few questions - errors. There are a few odd bugs here and there (e.g. with XMPP/Jabber), and some softkey options aren't showing up when they should. Downloading Bluetooth contacts is unreliable, and downloading Google OBiTALK contacts creates duplicate entries (no real synchronization possible). No custom contact fields (no way to display or enter, for example, "Satellite Phone" from a contact record - only standard fields like "Work" and "Home"). It is not possible to hide the VoIP provider OBiTALK if you are using their provisioning system. Too much reliance on their website. There is no easy way to create a Google Voice account on the phone/webui itself. There is no way to sync contacts from Google without logging into OBiTALK. Full two-way syncing of Google contacts must be built into the phone! I plan to use this device abroad and should keep my data usage to a minimum. Internet will not always be available, but phones are used for ship-to-ship communications, so offline configuration is key. If you don't mind using their website to prep, that's fine. Nevertheless, I would like to give 4.5 stars. It's a lot of features with great documentation in an economical, attractive, and functional package. In general, despite the little things, I am delighted. Hopefully updates will continue to be released to fix them.
