This board is an excellent alternative to the 1960's drawer cutting board in my 1909 bungalow. I received offers from a few companies before ordering this and they ranged from 100 to over 150 $1 for an exact replacement (16 x 0.75 x 24 inches with convex sides) so it was easy. The texture is dense, the board is nice...especially after rubbing with linseed oil, and it was easy to alter the convex (rounded) slot in my saw blade with a fine-toothed blade to fit the rack. I thought this board was 2" shorter than the 24" slot depth by placing a brass round head screw on either side of the finger pull to act as a stop to prevent it from being pushed too far into the ejection slot . I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to many happy years of use.
