I originally chose this for my golf cart so the small cup holders could work with the large sports cup that I like to carry around. For the price they do the trick and provide a stable base for larger mugs and cups. I later found that they fit nicely in my lawn swing, which also had brackets, and also in my car. They are quite well designed as they have a slit on the side which makes mugs with handles stay in place better. . Due to the orientation in different directions, even narrow holders (e.g. a trolley) can easily place two large cups next to each other. The only downside I found is that they collect water when it rains or water gets into them. A quick visit with a small drill fixed everything and we are in good shape. I would buy more of these for the yard and in the car.
