Review on 🎶 Enhanced HomeDock Experience for iPod: DLO HomeDock Deluxe by Dale Toth

A nice improvement over the previous model - MAKE SURE YOU BUY THIS AND NOT THE OLD MODEL - same name, no on-screen navigation. The only thing really missing is the on-screen PHOTO navigation. Otherwise, it's a great Apple TV replacement if you already have a video iPod (since the Apple TV is really just a glorified iPod with no screen). The remote is a little annoying at times, doesn't respond immediately to skipping tracks, but works well for the most part. I noticed an intermittent lag in showing the album art, but wasn't sure if it was just my music that was the problem. Not all of my music has album covers "embedded" as iTunes only writes them to the database and not to the actual MP3 file (unless you do it manually). I have also emailed DLO to see if this unit can receive firmware updates (for possible future photo integration) but have not yet received a response. It would be much better than buying another "enhanced" version of this device. Overall, the user interface is easy on the eye, the sound is excellent and I found the video quality to be perfect (using S-Video). This makes viewing and listening to content on your iPod much more enjoyable in the comfort of your own home.
