Review on Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens - High Resolution 16.2MP by Wiktor Skowroski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Because the equipment meets my needs, I do not have any second thoughts about making the investment. I paid a total of 24,000 in 2022 to purchase. I got the impression that Canon cameras in the same price range as Nikon focus and take pictures at a faster rate (although it's possible that the whale lens is to fault; I haven't tried it with any other lens yet). I contrasted it with the Canon 600D and ultimately decided to go with the Nikon because the images appeared to have a "ringing" sharpness. In comparison to other lenses, the images produced by Canon are noisy and have color noise even when the ISO setting is set to a low value. On the other hand, I do not think I would ever regret purchasing a Canon. Images captured in the default setting are quite dim. Setting the camera to the P mode with the minimum amount of settings (exposure +0.7; +1.0; +1.3) is all that is required to treat it. On the other hand, if you want to snap pictures using the machine, you should invest in a more expensive soap dish that costs somewhere in the neighborhood of 13,000 dollars. You will outgrow an 18-55 whale lens much too rapidly for it to be sufficient for your needs. Over 700 bullets can be fired before the battery dies. As a side note, there is an integrated help system for functions.

Pros
  • The price to quality ratio of both the equipment and the images that are produced is satisfactory. Constructed with skill. Nothing squeaked or broke during the course of a year's worth of typical use. Excellent video quality. The images are quite clear. Up to an ISO of 800, there is almost no discernible noise. Display that rotates. (There are moments when I really wish it was touch.)
Cons
  • When video is being shot, the focusing can be heard extremely clearly. Very sluggish in Live View Even though the object can be seen clearly with the naked eye, the viewfinder is quite dim, and this is especially noticeable when shooting at night. It is also difficult to focus. (I have not tested it on anyone else; nonetheless, it is quite likely that others have the same issue.)
