Perfect and big enough to blow on my bunk bed (with box spring and mattress). If you're used to a "regular" fan, this will take some getting used to as it doesn't have a real front. So learning its behavior to turn on and off a consistent 90 degree angle takes some practice. This is a very quiet fan that is great for my bedroom. The rotation degree settings are really nice. 360 is fun but I usually use 60 or 90. The base for me is pretty strong compared to some other reviews. Base 14.5", top 12".
