Overall it's a better option than the factory cup holder and again wasting money on it. Some adjustments to the console latch screw and some self tapping screws and you have to press the button very hard to open it, put it on the latch screw and hit it quickly with a hammer and it closes. I'll try the puck trick when I have more time, it can help a lot, and a little dremel work on the coin holder and I think it will be pretty reliable. The cup holder creeps into the bottom of the glass, preventing ex:Snapple bottles from sitting flush and steady, but it still fits and is no worse than the factory drop-down holder. I dropped my cup of coffee in a Sunday blizzard while plowing and stumbled across it the day after I decided to go back to having cup holders in my truck. Cheaper than factory and no worse, but more convenient and closer to the driver and passenger to have a retractable holder that is inserted between the space between the driver's seat and the rest of the bench. Makes for a tighter seat if you have a large galley but with the side extending holder and this attachment I have way more room for keys, phones, wallet and drinks than before and got 2 items for less money than I could. costs me if I buy this factory junk again. They must have gotten drunk at Chrysler's design factory when they decided to choose this design for their coasters 7 years in a row.
