Manufactured as recommended by J. Graham and others. Completely loosen the locking pin until it is 100% loose, then tighten about four turns to ensure it does not rattle. Overall it's a better option than the factory cup holder and again wasting money on it. Some adjustments to the console latch screw and some self tapping screws and you have to press the button very hard to open it, put it on the latch screw and hit it quickly with a hammer and it closes. This is a great addition to our 1999 3/4 ton truck! We have one in our 1999 1 ton Dodge and they are very comfortable. This is attached to the center console. Simply open the top of the console and place the cup holder on the front of the console, centering the center cutout over the latch.
