These shoes were made in India. Unlike other Keen leather boots I own, the Austin didn't break in easily. I usually break in leather shoes by wearing them around the house for a few hours and then I'm ready to wear them regularly. It took several weeks to wear them to work two or three times a week. The tongue in the right shoe hurt on the foot (before there was no such problem). This may be because the tongue edge lined up with the eyes that the laces go through and caused pain when lacing my laces to tie my laces. The shoes were too loose, they were not tight. This problem did not exist with the left shoe. The leather looks and feels very cheap and inferior compared to what I expected from Keen. The shoes fit as expected. They've finally got used to it and are quite comfortable, but not as comfortable as my Portsmouth or Anchorage III.
