The three shredding attachments included make it more versatile than the rotary cheese grinder (which I bought when I discovered this product). I used this device to grate hard cheese, cut vegetables and cook potato pancakes. It's a notch short of solid, and it's a little tricky to use the built-in suction cup to attach to a countertop. But the results are great! Update - the tiny spring in the handle broke after a long day. I contacted the seller and he sent a new pen within the promised time and the device is back in use. Very happy with customer service!
