I traveled from states across the country to move. I was so worried about what to do with the car. That was redemption. Didn't take up much space at all. Yes it is small but my 11kg cat found it ok. I picked up a couple of litter liners and a couple of zippered bags of lightweight cat litter. When I knew it was time for him to go, I dropped the liner, one of the filler bags, and he put it to good use. Then I took the pad with the bed linen and threw it away. Used 4 times on long trips, no problems and no wet smelly seals in the trunk. House cats are particularly picky when it comes to going into a crate. The best decision I made was to just wish I had two on the trip because my other cat was under the plane and was really struggling. If I travel that far again I'll buy another one to put in my carrier. Poor guy had a uti for trying to hold him down for 26 hours. I also used it on a crate right after landing until I could buy a big cat crate the next day.
