To be honest, the manufacturer didn't claim that attaching it to your dog's collar was the correct use of the BRG AirTag holder, but it looked like a decent use for the AirTag, and there was no warning not to. In short, our dog had no problem biting the AirTag off the BRG tag holder, and when we saw that the AirTag was no longer attached to the dog's collar and the BRG holder broke, we had every reason to believe that our pet of was swallowed . I took it for a walk while my wife looked at the GPS screen on her iPhone. When the AirTag didn't move, we decided it was safe to use the Play Sound feature - I didn't dare to do that when I thought it might be in our dog's gastrointestinal tract! Thank goodness he didn't swallow the AirTag, he just chewed it up as soon as he pulled it off the BRG tag. At the very least, the manufacturer should put a 'not suitable for pets' warning on the product and the fact that our dog appears to have easily broken the BRG holder speaks to its durability.
