It's worth it. Here's where you buff before porcelain and putty

This product works as expected. In fact, I use them more often than other grit because they work better and I feel they remove the scratches you leave when you use a lighter grit. I usually do 50 to 100 light passes with it and get a mirror finish after polishing with porcelain.
