Review on Diadora Mens Capitano Soccer Shoes Men's Shoes by Jonah Koehnke

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fancy Turf Boot - Size runs large

If I decide to keep I will update the field specs Aesthetics - 3/5 - The black and yellow color scheme looks nice but is on the heel a bit "busy". Apparently another user's comment about bowling shoes isn't that far off base. Style - 3/5 - The shape is a bit odd, the toe box is a bit high at the first lace up. There is more wiggle room here than other artificial grass shoes I have worn from Puma etc. The position feels a bit wrong when the foot is flexed forward, like the ball of the foot isn't quite aligned with the sole and there isn't enough material/space in the toe box for explosive running movements. The upper feels oddly tight at the toes. Fit - 4/5 - Typical Diadora, 1/2 size larger; I would say possibly 1 full size larger. The usual shoe size is US 10.5, I wear 10.5 on Adidas, Puma, Nike and 10 on Diadora, Lotto, New Balance. I ordered 10 from Capitano TF. Sizing seems right but still feels a bit long; have to check with double socks if i can fix the heel enough to avoid blisters. 3/5 - As others have mentioned, this shoe feels heavy, although I'm less worried as I'll be using it outside in the winter once the FG cleats have stopped snagging. Thicker shoes = warmer feet. Touch - 3/5 - Nothing special in the first indoor test. does the job; better than tennis shoes; although this is not the touch of high-level football boots.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Almost everything is there
