Lining is nice and fits well. Not hard alone, but hard enough for the job. When I first used this, I browned the roast before cooking, then added the liquid and veggies and cooked it all. Brown on the bottom isn't all off. I was so surprised that my other stainless steel pots and pans are easy to clean. The stain is still there even though I soaked it overnight. I think SOS will remove it but I hate using it. In general, the pan is good and does the job.
