Given the price, I had very low expectations of this set. Still I was disappointed. The Good: - The thread gauges seem good :D - The taps seem to work but don't expect long service life. to the point, which makes threading impossible. If you only changed the direction of the tap so that the burr rolls over the trailing edge, you could do without deburring the dies. Or just use a sharp thread cutter - Die holes are off-center - T-handle is off-center at rear; instead, a set screw to hold the toggle bar. Deformity: - The detailed description correctly lists what is present, but the general description implies that both coarse and fine metric taps/matrices are present. In fact, there is a precision metric tap (M10x1.0). However, it looks like most of the UNF is there.- For some reason this set has a confusing lonely 1/8 NPT trying to find his family.- UNC/UNF taps and dies riddled with metric . The tag is printed on plastic so it wasn't an accidental misplacement. The labels on the stamps are very inconsistent - some engraved, some laser engraved, different font sizes etc, almost as if this set was put together from the remnants of other sets. All handles look like they are made of chrome-plated Makdeshev. to ignore.
