Too often I found the umbrella uncomfortable. It's too much wind or too much in my hands to handle the umbrella. So I bought this. And I can't describe how many times it came in handy. Keeps my clothes dry (mostly) and the hood protects my head. The only thing I would do differently is make it a little longer. I'm only 5'1", but he seems a bit small even for me. Other than that, it does what it's advertised to do.
