Review on πŸ’§ Efficient Water Treatment Solution: Seachem Neutral Regulator 500 Milliliter Bottles (2 Pack) by Eric Hay

Fish farmers - make sure you know the pH of your water and check it from time to time.

The city I live in has an average pH of 9.4. I checked mine and it was 9.4. I don't know of any freshwater fish that can handle this high pH. Most tropical fish require a pH of 6.5 to 7 (some species require 8). There are products like PHup and PHdown, but this can take a while, especially if you are a beginner with a small Betta aquarium. This product, added in the right amount, will bring your PH to a perfect 7. I can't imagine how many local fish owners have shortened the lifespan of their fish - or gave up because many died instantly. The few big fish shops don't know or understand how important PH is to fishing - too high or too low PH will burn your fish's lungs. I've been using this for 4 years - the only time we've lost a bunch of fish was when we either forgot to add water conditioner or we forgot to add this product. I always adjust the water BEFORE I put it in the aquarium, not before or after, because it temporarily changes the composition of the solution. Many stores will test your water for you, there are also easy-to-use test strips (they're expensive and can be inaccurate), but the API has a test kit for around $25 that you can use to check all the parameters you need. If you are new to fish ownership, you need to know that you should cycle your aquarium (grow bacteria) before adding any fish. Now many sellers think that buying fish and an aquarium and bottling SafeStart is enough bacteria to keep your fish safe without triggering a nitrogen cycle, but I have so many different fish that I want to make sure mine is mine heard. So test your water and then buy a test kit and if your PH is off, buy this product.
