They are really easy to clean. I was afraid the lighter colors would bleed from red sauces, but not even a little bit! If the child has long hair, I recommend braiding it in a pony. My girl has shoulder length curly hair that sometimes gets in the way of pinning her bib. It stays in the foreground and the stand doesn't stick out too far for everything to fall out. This has saved me tons of time and effort cleaning up liquids and yogurt. I think she likes it too because she gets a second chance to eat her sweet potato that didn't even pop into her mouth.
