This lightweight jacket turned out to be a good option for layering. I tested it at my work (lumber yard) and it handled sawdust and abuse quite well. A soft thermal lining provides just enough warmth for milder fall weather. I appreciate bags. Definitely a layer on colder days. The only problem I had with it was that on the third day one of the buttons on the right cuff of the jacket came loose from the jacket. I was disappointed but not enough to return it. After that, the material didn't cause any more problems. Overall I'm pleased with the warmth and look of this jac flannel shirt. Made in China. Update** A year later and I'm still enjoying this flannel. It has held up perfectly and is a staple of my cold-weather wardrobe.
